  • Tauranga Branch

    Full time, permanent

    We are currently looking for a Member Solutions Consultant to join our team at our Tauranga branch. This opportunity is ideal for a positive, willing, contributing and adaptable person to be part of an awesome team. You will have a responsibility to provide support and assistance to First Credit Union’s members, matching their financial needs with First Credit Union’s products and services. 

    We are also actively involved in our community, and our staff take pride in the promotion of First Credit Union. 

    Responsibilities

    • Providing a level of service that is second to none.
    • A high level of accuracy when processing requests from members. 
    • Ensuring appropriate member identification to minimise the unauthorised use or disclosure of personal information.
    • Follow all policies and procedures and ensure relevant disclosures are made to members.
    • Promoting First Credit Union’s products and services to members where appropriate.

    Key Skills

    • Previous experience in a front-line customer facing environment
    • Must enjoy engaging and relating to people from all walks of life and can adjust communication style appropriately across a number of contact methods (online and over the phone)
    • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, using reasoning even when dealing with emotional topics
    • Excellent time management, organisation, listening skills and show attention to detail
    • Commitment to providing excellent service
    • Resilient with the ability to work under pressure
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication 
    • Intermediate computer skills
    • A current drivers licence

    Experience in working in a financial institution is an advantage, but not a requirement as full training will be provided to the successful applicant.
