Intraday Payments

We're happy to announce from Tuesday 9 July 2019, we will be changing how we process payments. Currently, we only process payments once, at the end of the day, with Intra-day Payments we will be sending and receiving payments more frequently.

This means payments in or out of First Credit Union accounts will be processed within a few hours, rather than overnight.

Payments to other Banks

From 9.00 am to 8.00 pm payments from First Credit Union will be sent to other banks every two to three hours. Payments should show in the receiving bank within a few hours if they process Intra-day Payments.

If a payment is made after 8 pm, during the weekend or a public holiday it will be sent the next business day.

As payments will be sent more frequently we will no longer be able to reverse payments.

Payments from other Banks

From 9.00 am to 9.00 pm, any payments received by First Credit Union from another bank will be credited to your account within two to three hours.

Payments to First Credit Union accounts

There are no changes to payments to other First Credit Union accounts, these will still occur immediately.

Automatic Payments

Automatic Payments will still be processed at the start of each business day. If a payment falls on a weekend or public holiday it will be sent the next business day.

Direct Debits

Direct Debits will still be processed throughout the day (or next business day if it falls on a weekend or public holiday).
