Funeral Plan Insurance

As required under the Funeral Plan Group Insurance policy, we wish to advise current insured members that notice has been given to end this group policy with Co-Op Insurance NZ by 13 December 2017.

We will update you further on a replacement policy with no significant changes to your cover.  Please watch this space!

The death of a loved one is a very emotional time, but it can also be very stressful. Having a policy in place to provide for funeral costs can help your family cope financially.

Our Funeral Plan offers simple, affordable cover and claims are paid quickly, usually within 48 hours.

Acceptance is guaranteed with no medical underwriting, and anyone aged between 16^ and 85 can be covered.

We offer immediate cover for accidental death; otherwise full cover applies after 12 or 24 months, depending on your age when the policy starts.

For more details about our Funeral Plan, including premium rates, conditions and exclusions, check out our brochure*.

If this sounds like the kind of cover for you and your family, just complete the application form attached to the brochure and send it back to us. A separate application form is required for each person.

Simply contact us if you have any questions, we're here to help.

^ From 3 April 2017 the entry age for cover will increase from 16 to 18. Any covers already in place prior to 3 April 2017 will not be affected by this change.

* The information provided in the attached brochure relates to new covers loaded from 28 November 2013 onwards.  Any covers loaded prior to this date may have different terms of cover and premiums. Please contact us if you require specific details about your policy. If you would like to upgrade to our new policy terms, simply complete a new application form and send it back to us.
