House Cover
MaxiPlan House insurance covers you for accidental loss or damage to your home as well as outside features such as garages, decks, swimming pools and pathways.
Cover is based on full replacement which is the cost involved in rebuilding or repairing your home, with today's materials, back to its original size.
Just some of the special features are:
- Gradual damage
- Damage to landscaping
- Damage to retaining walls
- Up to $1,000,000 legal liability
- Additional natural disaster protection
Some homes may not require or may not be eligible for full replacement cover, for these occasions we also offer BasicPlan House Insurance. Cover is based on indemnity value and covers you for loss, damage or destruction from specific events such as fire, flooding and vandalism.
Contents Cover
MaxiPlan Contents insurance covers you for accidental loss or damage to your contents anywhere in New Zealand.
Cover is based on the full replacement value for all contents except some items such as clothing and footwear which are only covered for their indemnity value. Most items are fully replaced regardless of their age.
Just some of the special features:
- Up to 12 months alternative accommodation
- Up to $1000 for frozen food spoilage
- Unauthorised cellphone use of up to $500
- Up to $1,000,000 legal liability
- Additional natural disaster protection
If you don't have many belongings or if your budget doesn't allow for full replacement cover, we also offer BasicPlan Contents insurance. Cover is based on the indemnity value and covers you for loss, damage or destruction occuring at your home from specific events such as fire, flooding and burglary.
Please refer to the MaxiPlan and BasicPlan policy wordings for more informatin, including payout limits on certain items. If your particular item is worth more than the limit stated, it is important that you supply a valuation as well as specify the item(s) on your policy schedule to ensure it is properly covered in the event of a claim.
Each of the above policies also comes with the benefits of HELP - a free 24/7 emergency assistance and advice service. With just one phone call you can sort out all the hassles that arise if you have an accident or disaster even if no insurance claim is involved, plus they can locate the trades people or services you need. Premium Payment Options
We offer a variety of options to make it easier for you. Premiums can be paid quarterly, six monthly, or annually or by fortnightly or monthly direct debit instalments.
